Places to stay
Cuevas morenas rural house
This is a very quiet place, surrounded of fields, mountains and flowers. The only noise (and it's not annoying at all) come from dogs and cockerels from the neighborhood.
You can see the sea sitting in the porch. It's just wonderful having breakfast with the view. You can also have a good sun bath there. The beach is quite near by car, anyway.
The house have capacity for 6 people, but you can rent it for just 2 or 4. Pepita, the owner, is very nice and she's always smiling.

Little grocery shop
This is a familiar business. It's a small shop very close to the church. You can have a beer with some cheese and cold meat and also buy your groceries. You can order a big sandwich of Teror highly-seasoned pork sausage (not recommended for people who are on a diet) and Teror cheese (so many kinds of it and all of them so good!). It's very nice to participate in the hustle and bustle of this little shop, where everybody stops for a quick beer before lunch.

Restaurante nuevo
Next to the church, you can find this little restaurant, where you can have pretty good homemade cooking. Meatballs, fried fish with mojo picón sauce, canarian salad. Nice people and cold beer.

Things to do
Sardina lighthouse
This is a very beautiful spot in canarian seaside. The waves breaking in the cliff, the brave wind and the bluest horizon, it's amazing for taking pictures and breathe deeply.

Sardina beach and port
In Sardina you can enjoy the very little beach (about 50 meters and that's all!). Black sand, crystal clear water, very funny waves if the day is windy. You can have a walk thru the port of Sardina, but you have to be careful with the wind, it can make you literally fly! The town of Sardina is a highlight itself!

Virgen de la cuevita chapel
This is a chapel located inside a small cave. All the furniture (confessional, altar, pulpit) is made of the same rock from the cave. It's pretty amazing.

Unamuno viewpoint
From this viewpoint and with the company of a statue of Unamuno (he lived in the island for a while in 1910), you can enjoy here the fantastic views, and look at the Caldera of Tejada, Roque Bentaiga or Roque Nublo (the most important geological emblem in the island).

La esquina restaurant
Familiar restaurant (the waitresses are clearly sisters and they're both very nice) with a terrace and fantastic views. Cheap and homemade cooking. You have to try the typical dish papas arrugás, with a Tropical beer.

Things to do
God's finger
This is a big rock that look like a hand with a finger pointing at the sky. That's why it's called God's Finger. Last year a hurricane or something like that (I'm not sure) make it change its forms. Canary people called it God's Stump now, just joking. I think is very dificult to see, but well, there it is :)

Las nieves beach
This familiar beach is very nice and quiet. You can see your feet and lots of black and blue fish in the water! The sea is like a swimming pool here. This is a beach of stones (vulcano type, all black and grey and red), by the port of Agaete. The little houses are all painted in blue and white, it's beautiful. I think this is a need in a trip to the Canary Islands.

Rincón de Baco is a very special restaurant in a very special place. Next to a beautiful volcano.
You can taste the modern & experimental cuisine mixed with traditional know-how.
You have to go by your own, by car.
